In other news, I’ve decided to write a book

So, what’s happening today? Well, I’ve decided to write a book. Actually, I’ve had an idea for a book/screenplay for about 10 years now, and up till now, I’ve always let something get in the way. Not anymore. To keep myself accountable, I’m sharing this with you all. In order to keep my blog separate from the goings on of the book, I will be documenting my book progress, including videos and status updates, exclusively on my 5 Minutes of Your Life facebook page.   Of course, I can’t give too many details, I don’t want to spoil the book for you! But, I will answer questions about the process, and probably even ask questions too. I know this particular post will most likely only be seen by those followers of my blog, so I wanted to give you a chance to also follow my facebook page, in order to keep up to speed with the book. Aside from this post, I most likely will not refer to it much on this blog site until there is a substantial progress report. I will say, the book will be written in a similar voice that my blog is written, except, it will be fiction. Also, just to ease your worries, no vampires will make appearances in said book.

Thanks everyone.

Any questions?

About Me

Bo Wright

Hi. I’m just a normal dude, married to a hot chick, with two sparkling children, living in Oklahoma City, OK. I’m a writer and social media brand manager trying to make people, laugh, cry, or throw up, you know, because those are the three basic emotions. Back in 2006, I won a Best Documentary award at the New York International Film and Video Festival for a feature length documentary I wrote, produced and directed called, The Oklahoma Heismen. It was a feature profiling the, at that time, 4 Heisman Trophy winners at the University of Oklahoma. They’ve since added another one, Sam Bradford, in 2008. It was narrated by 4 time Academy Award Nominee, Ed Harris. Image

Since then, I have been employed by Victory Church in Oklahoma City, producing television and managing social media.

On the side, I follow my boys around to all their sporting events. That’s almost a full time job all by itself. I coached my oldest son’s football and basketball teams for 4 years, and am currently coaching my younger son’s basketball team.

I love to write. It’s a passion of mine. I just need to make the time to do it. Like every other aspiring writer, I am working on a short story, that I’d love to publish, or maybe even form into a screenplay.

If you’re a publisher, or a studio type out there, LET’S TALK!

In the meantime, you can follow me on twitter (@bo_wright), or on Facebook.

And please subscribe to this blog to keep updated on what’s going on in my crazy world.

The World According to a Regular Guy

Let’s get this out of the way early.

Yes, I know it’s been a while. I promise to blog more once I’m done coaching football. Right now, I don’t have extra brain space to store work stuff, family stuff, football stuff AND find time to be interesting enough to blog.

But, I’ve got 33 minutes and 36 seconds left of this export, and I’m off the clock, so here we go.

What you will find here.

Welcome to my blog, ladies and gentlemen.

I’ve been told that I need to be a writer. I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I actually write all the time.

In fact, most of the time somebody has told me I should be a writer, it has come in response to something I have written.  So, the problem hasn’t been that I need to “become a writer”, the problem has been, I don’t have enough people reading what I’m writing.  So, here’s to hoping that this blogpage will produce more readers.

I’ve been told I should write about random things. When you’re asked to be random, it’s amazing how difficult it is to become random. So, this is a post about nothing. How’s that for random?

I’m going to copy over some previous blogs from facebook, just to get this puppy started off right. Then, I’ll try to blog as often as I can. I can’t promise it will all be funny. I can’t promise it will all be random.

What I can promise, is that it will all be written, by me.

So there you go, I’m now a writer.
